Quick fixes, no chat needed
PWR-01 Computer won't power on
- Check the wall outlet with another device — dead outlets cause a surprising share of "dead" PCs.
- Reseat the power cable at both ends. On desktops, flip the PSU switch off and on.
- Laptops: remove the battery (if removable), hold the power button 30 seconds, reconnect the charger only, then try again.
- Still nothing? The power supply or charger is the prime suspect — test with a known-good one before replacing the board.
PRF-04 Slow or freezing system
- Open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and sort by CPU, then Memory — note what's on top.
- Disable heavy startup apps: Task Manager → Startup tab.
- Check free disk space; Windows slows badly under ~10% free. Uninstall what you don't use.
- Run a malware scan (Windows Security → Full scan).
- If the machine still has a hard drive (HDD), upgrading to an SSD is the single biggest speed fix.
NET-05 Wi-Fi keeps dropping
- Restart the router: unplug 30 seconds, plug back in. Wait 2 minutes.
- Forget the network on your PC, then reconnect and re-enter the password.
- Update the wireless driver: Device Manager → Network adapters → right-click → Update driver.
- If only one device drops, it's the device; if all devices drop, it's the router or the ISP line.
THM-06 Overheating and loud fans
- Feel the vents — if airflow is weak, dust is the usual cause. Power off and blow out vents with compressed air.
- Use the laptop on hard, flat surfaces; blankets and laps block intake vents.
- Check Task Manager for a runaway process pinning the CPU at 100%.
- If the machine is 3+ years old and still hot after cleaning, the thermal paste likely needs renewing — a quick job for a repair shop.
OFF-08 Excel or Word file won't open
- Open the app first, then File → Open → browse to the file (instead of double-clicking the file).
- Right-click the file → Properties → if you see an "Unblock" checkbox, tick it → OK.
- Open in Safe Mode: press Win+R, type excel /safe (or winword /safe), then open the file. If it works, a faulty add-in is the cause: File → Options → Add-ins → disable them.
- Repair Office: Settings → Apps → Microsoft 365/Office → Modify → Quick Repair (then Online Repair if needed).
- Corrupted file? In the Open dialog, click the arrow beside Open → "Open and Repair."
DEV-09 Getting started with programming
- Pick one language and stick to it for 3 months — Python is the friendliest start.
- Install VS Code (free) and the Python extension; install Python from python.org (tick "Add to PATH").
- Learn by building tiny projects (calculator, to-do list), not by only watching videos.

Can you fix my computer remotely?
Often, yes. Software problems, Office issues, virus removal, performance cleanup, and setup tasks can usually be handled remotely over a screen-share session. Hardware faults — a failed screen, a dead power supply, a broken hinge — need the machine physically in hand.
Where are you located, and do you serve my area?
We're based in the UAE, with contact numbers for both the UAE and India. Remote support and AI chatbot work are available anywhere in the world. For on-site repair, message us on WhatsApp and we'll tell you honestly whether we can reach you.
Is my data safe? What do you do with my questions?
Your chat isn't saved to any database and isn't shared with anyone. Each conversation starts fresh, and closing the page clears it. We only receive your details if you deliberately submit them through the callback form, and we use them solely to respond to your enquiry.
The AI's answer didn't solve my problem. What now?
Click the 👎 button under the answer — it tells us where the assistant fell short, and we use that to improve it. Then use the "Request a callback from a technician" link, or message us directly on WhatsApp. A real person will pick it up from there.
